That's the romance of the Maple Leaf. Wonderful owners. You're in homey guest quarters on a far more comfortable property than you have become accustomed to, if you are a frequent traveler. This Motel was simple, but clean and had everything we needed for a few day stay. Beds were comfortable, but pillows were very, very firm. Rooms were very clean, had a microwave and small fridge and TV. In a great location to all kinds of hiking and that’s what drew us to Shady Cove. All in all, it’s a great stay with all the essentials, but no frills. Be sure to eat at Mac’s down the road while you’re here. We really enjoyed it. The location was perfect as well, situated on 62 between Medford and Crater Lake. Quaint, clean, and safe motel within a couple hours of Crater Lake National Park. We stayed here only one night, but it had everything we needed and we had no problems with pests.
