Excellent motel. The rooms are spotless. The beds are very comfortable. The owner was very friendly. There is a cute sitting area outside in the grass. It is small motel with 15 rooms. It was nice and quiet at night and in the morning. We will definitely be back!
Taking the time to write my first review because I honestly love this hotel. I've been traveling for the last week & this was my best/cheapest room yet. Everything is so clean, there is a nice TV, fridge, microwave, and is nicely decorated. The lady at the desk was genuine. And overall had a very good experience. This cute little motel was a great choice 🙂
I booked a 2 Double Bed room along with my friends for the July 04 long weekend since we were planning to hike at the Crater Lake NP the next day. We had an amazing experience staying here. Danny called to confirm my stay a day before and only charged me after the confirmation. Since we were arriving at 1am, he made sure that we had everything that was needed for our self check-in. The room was cozy and safe. It had all the amenities including a fridge, microwave, WiFi, desk, and chair. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels for all of us. The location was convenient with a gas station and a cute local coffee store with a drive time of ~2 mins. Check-out was hassle free. Great value for money. Highly recommended and definitely coming back if I visit Oregon again!
This is what roadside motels built in the 50s used to look like, very clean and well kept. Except for all the modern conveniences in the rooms staying here is almost like going back 70 years in a time machine. The staff is friendly and courteous and all deserve kudos for keeping this motel in such great condition.
Its prime location makes it an ideal stop, offering easy access to both Crater Lake and the Oregon Caves without the hefty price tag you might find elsewhere. Despite being right off the highway, the motel remains surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's rest in this small, tranquil town.
Thoughtful Amenities and Impeccable Cleanliness
The rooms are designed with travelers in mind, featuring two full-size beds, a microwave, a fridge, and a TV. What truly sets this motel apart is the ingenious bathroom sink, large enough to double as a kitchen sink – a brilliant touch that provides all the utility you need on the road. But the real standout is the unmatched cleanliness. Seriously, these are the cleanest rooms I have ever encountered in all my travels. You could practically "run and slide in socks" across the floor, that's how spotless they are!
A Welcoming Oasis
The owners have poured their hearts into creating a truly inviting space. The property boasts a beautiful white picket fence yard, bursting with roses and other vibrant flowers. Inside, you'll find plenty of comfortable chairs and tables, including a lovely gazebo that provides perfect cover from sun or rain (and a thoughtful spot for smokers). At night, the yard and gazebo come alive with beautiful solar lights, creating a magical ambiance. There's even a small swing hanging from a tree and a rocking swing to relax on.
Exceptional Hospitality
The dedication of the owners shines through in every detail. They offer excellent recommendations for local attractions and, as a locally owned business, they are refreshingly reliable, even staying open on Memorial Day without any price gouging. During my stay, the owner even stopped by with their adorable puppy, Lucy, for a run in the yard, and graciously allowed us to say hello.
It's clear the owners have worked incredibly hard to cultivate this inviting and comfortable environment. I've never been more comfortable at a motel, and I truly hope they receive the recognition they deserve for creating such a cozy and relaxing aesthetic. It's the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and genuine hospitality.
Comfortable, well-maintained, super clean, and friendly spot to stay! So glad we found this place. (The food truck, yummy nums nums, was an added bonus!)
The room was really a nice surprise. Clean and looked super nice inside. Managers were awesome people and very helpful. Beds are good and we had a great nights sleep. Garden area is nice with a bbq and seating area under cherry trees. See more reviews on Trip Advisor
Awesome place to stay when visiting Crater Lake or anywhere in Southern OR. Very clean and the family that runs it is super nice. The food truck parked outside the motel has great food too!
Excellent motel to stay in for a night while heading to Crater Lake. Wonderful Mexican restaurant on the Rogue River just 2 min from the motel. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Genuinely nice people who really care about their clientele. WE had the BEST time on our trip !
A wonderful surprise. Not fancy, but our room was one of the cleanest, well kept places we have stayed. Cute small yard between the road and the rooms - enclosed by a red rose lined white picket fence, with shaded picnic table. The lady at the front desk was friendly, her husband was cordial.
Great place to be when traveling to Crater Lake. Room is very clean, highly over expectations. Would recommend.
The family that runs the motel is great, very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean, great to have a microwave and mini fridge for traveling with food. Coffee and tea in the rooms is nice for a budget hotel too. Would stay here again over anywhere else in the area!
My son and I are on a road trip. We stayed in this cute little hotel in quiet Shady Cove for one night. Check-in was easy and the people are so friendly. Rooms are very clean and quiet. We felt right at home. Would definitely stay again if ever this way.
The Maple Leaf is a 1960's style motor lodge that has been maintained/improved to satisfy contemporary needs. Not a fancy place but well outfitted and spotlessly clean. We stayed here one night before visiting Crater Lake and it worked out just right for us. To our delight there was a food truck parked at the edge of the hotel property where we enjoyed great food in the picnic area between the hotel parking and the highway. Top value and outstanding quality for the $$.
This is a family run inn, the owners are the ones who will check you in. It’s obvious they take pride in their business. My room was very clean and comfy. Their daughter runs a food truck on site that serves amazing food. The town itself is surrounded by pure beauty. You get it all here! Highly recommended.
